Introduction

You can promote an installation of App Server from a Stand-alone server to an Admin Server by using the "isaddadminfunc". However, is it possible to demote this server to be a standalone server later?

Answer

Promoting a Standalone Server to an Admin server is one-way. There is no easy way go back to a standalone server once the server has been promoted to be an Admin server.

To undo it, you need to re-install the application server, which will destroy all the WU (and other) definitions created so far on the Standalone Server.

So be careful when using the isaddadminfunc.bat command.
